Shannon Derthick is a professionally trained medical illustrator with a Master of Science in Medical Illustration and undergraduate degrees in Physiology and Studio Art. Shannon has expertise in science, anatomical and surgical illustration for a wide range of media and audiences. She has previous experience in academic settings combining the roles of illustrator, teacher and designer.
Shannon is currently a Medical Illustrator for the Neurosurgery Department at Medical College of Georgia. |

-Her determination, hard work and love for sports has led to her to individually qualify and compete on University of Colorado teams at Collegiate Nationals for both Swimming and Triathlon.
- Shannon’s pursuit of continued learning expands past the life sciences. She has developed an interest in maps and recent world political history and can now roughly determine the year that a map was made in the last 150 years!
